Dad and Son at it again: Henry and Justin Elghanayan of Rockrose plan for a 18-story building in LIC at 43-12 Hunter street
According to the Real Deal, Rockrose Development Corporation has another big Long Island City develoment on the way. This comes on the heels of their current development on 43-25 Hunter Street. Across the street, at 43-12 Hunter street, Henry and Justin Elghanayan are planning for an 18-story residential building.
The building plans filed by SLCE, call for over 120 units and more than 86,000 square feet. The plans filed with the DOB Thursday also looks to include a much needed 4,000 square feet of retail space, in a rapidly growing neighborhood starving for service retail. It will feature a lounge and exercise room with a much desired a rooftop terrace.
The current project under completion, The Hayden has 974 luxury apartments which include affordable apartments for the $270 million in financing the pair received from the State Housing Finance Agency.
The Elghanayan have many projects in LIC as well as their relatives Tom and Fred of TF cornerstone, who developed the waterfront.
