Office complex filled with amenities coming to Long Island City
A new office complex is coming to the area. This complex will feature two 26-story towers and will be known as The JACX. It will be located at 28-01 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City. Furthermore, will offer several amenities for companies moving in. Overall, the complex will span 1.2 million acres of both office and retail space while featuring a 1-acre terrace on the fifth floor. The developer in charge? Tishman Speyer.
50,000 square feet will be destined to retail space. In that area, there will be a gourmet market, a food hall, restaurants, a coffee shop and a fitness center. There will be an outdoor terrace known as “The Quad”, which will be ideal for musical and theatrical events, as well for dance nights.
There will also be a garage on-site, which will have room for 550 cars and space for 175 bicycles. Currently, the complex is 70% pre-leased. Most of the companies moving in will be fashion or technology related, such as WeWork. WeWork is a co-working space that will occupy 250,000 square feet. If everything goes according to plan, the JACX will open its doors during the first quarter of 2019.
However, this is not the only current Tishman Speyer project. The firm is also working on a three-building complex right across the street. This complex is known as Jackson Park and will feature over 1,800 apartment units and 120,000 sq of amenities. Among the amenities, tenants will be able to use a 1.6 acre park exclusively. These towers will be 42, 44 and 53 stories high, respectively. [QNS]
