Luxurious 64-Unit Mixed-Use begins construction at 29-10 Broadway in Astoria
Astoria, an area known for its rustic remnants of old factories and warehouses, will be getting a stunning enhancement to the middle of the neighborhood at 29-10 Broadway. Jestam Realty, a Bronx based developer, is teaming up with Aufgang Architects to design a luxurious five-story, 64-unit mixed-use building that is looking to compliment the already busy retail area.
A C-Town Supermarket currently sits at the site but the developer will be expanding the whole first floor to accommodate for the future upgraded food store. The current permits call for nearly 16,000 square feet of space for the ground floor, meaning that other retail spots will neighbor C-Town once the project is completed. The other 71,500 square feet sitting atop the ground floor will provide space for 64 luxurious apartment units, and according to NYYimby.com they will include a number of amenities, such as: a full service laundry room, a fitness center, a lounge, three separate rooftop terraces, bike storage, and a 32 car garage that will sit underground.
The building is set to be completed in the Fall of 2017.
