A new demolition is in order for Long Island City, Queens

Long Island City continues its incredible real estate bloom: an old warehouse is about to meet its demise in order to make room for a new development. Addressed at 11-52 44th Drive, Daniel Gazal has filed documents to demolish the ancient structure and to built in its place tower with eight stories. Overall, this building will have 14,115 square feet. The tower will have twenty-two residential units and it will include retail space on its first floor. The apartments will be 630 square feet rentals. The architect in charge is Frank Demmerle, of Demmerle Design Studio. Nevertheless, demolition permits still need to be filed. [NY Yimby]
