Another mixed-use development coming to North Corona
A brand-new, nine-story, mixed-use building is coming to the neighborhood of North Corona, in Queens. It will be addressed at 39-14 114th Street, just on the edge of the Citi Field station area and mere blocks away from the northern area of the Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Furthermore, the 111th Street Subway Station, serviced by the 7 trains is just two blocks away, while the Flushing Bay Promenade is eight blocks away.
The building will be 99-foot tall and will be yielding over 51k sf once finished. The square footage will be divided almost equally among residential and commercial space, but a little over 4,500 sf will be devoted to medical offices on the first two floors. 26 new residential units will be created that will average 742 each, meaning they will be rentals. There will also be a hotel with 24 rooms in the commercial area and a parking area with Valet with room for 27 vehicles. The hotel will be on the third and fourth floors, while the rentals will occupy the remaining ones.
Lam & Lam Engineering will handle the design while the development itself is responsibility of King’s Empire Group LLC. This partnership had a very similar project in line for the same lot back in 2012, but it never came to fruition. There is a parking lot sitting on the lot, but a completion date has not been announced. [NY Yimby]
