New eight-story tower for Kew Gardens
A residential building featuring eight stories is coming to the neighborhood of Kew Gardens, in Queens. The new development will be addressed at 117-03 Curzon Road.
Kew Gardens was created back in the middle of the 19th Century as one of seven garden communities in the borough.
This site is just six blocks away from the Kew Gardens Train Station and eight blocks away from the 121st Street Subway Station. These stations are serviced by the Long Island Railroad and the J and Z trains, respectively.
This development will create twenty rentals that will average 725 sf each. The structure will span a little under 18k sf and will be 80-foot tall. There will be a laundry room, a lobby foyer and a terrace located on the rooftop.
EEC Group Inc. is the company behind this development, while the design is in charge of T.F. Cusanelli and Filletti Architects. There is an existing structure on site and the permits for its demolition were filed back in December. Nevertheless, a completion date has not been announced. [NY Yimby]
