New condo building coming to Ditmars Steinway, Queens
There is a new residential building arriving to Ditmars Steinway, in the borough of Queens. The plans include a three-story construction addressed at 22-10 47th Street.
The new building will be very close (just fourteen blocks away) to the Ditmars Boulevard Station, where the N and W trains end their Queens lines. This is the first building that will occupy the lot in the last ten years. The site has been vacant for a long time and it was sometimes used as a parking lot.
Gerald J. Caliendo Architect is in charge of the development, which marks the firm’s second project in the area. They filed permits in March of 2009 also.
The tower will be 35 feet tall and will span 5,220 square feet. The building will have three 1,237 sf condos and will feature a single-vehicle parking garage, while also having room for two other vehicles off-street. [NY Yimby]
