The Tangram starts promoting its first condo sales
Back in November the condos in a brand new building started being available for sale. The building in question has 13 stories and is located in Flushing, Queens and is part of a bigger project (known as the Tangram) that will have a total of four buildings and will eventually transform the erstwhile Flushing Mall. In this particular building there are 192 condos and half are already sold. As far as the other towers that conform this project go, the second one will launch the sales of its 125 residential units next year.
In the building already for sale, known as Tangram House South, many style of units are available. Users can find studios that start at $625,000 and come fully-furnished as well as three-bedroom condos that start at $1.85 million. One of the penthouses has already been sold for $2.76 million. This tower fronts on 39th Avenue and the one starting sales next year, known as Tangram House West, will have its front on College Point Boulevard.
When it comes to commercial space, both buildings previously mentioned will have a huge base of it: 225,000 square feet of retail space on each. Back in October, it was announced a multiplex will open in that area. This is a very important piece of news, since the cinema will be 4-D, only the third in the whole city and will include seven auditoriums.
The coming years will see further development of the Tangram project. Developers will eventually add an office building, a hotel with 200 rooms, a food hall, a beer garden and several themed restaurants. The developer is a partnership between two firms: the F&T Group and SCG America. [NY Curbed]
