New Empire Corporation’s latest project has been revealed
The first rendering of a new condo project that will be located in Long Island City, Queens, has been released. The project is property of New Empire Corporation and will be addressed at 37-14 34th Street, just a little over a block away from the 36th Street station. This station enjoys the services of the E, M and R trains. Furthermore, the Queens Museum of the Moving Image is not far away.
As of right now, the project is known as LIC COMMONS and it will feature two distinct buildings, with seven stories each. Both towers will be connected by a recreational rooftop area and a single story structure. Overall, the project will span a little over 78k square feet. Even though the residential space will take the majority of the space (51,100 square feet), a commercial area will be located on the ground floor. This will yield 21,000 square feet.
Even though some details need to be sorted out, the project is expected to have 80 units, averaging 714 square feet each. The developer for this project is listed as New Empire Real Estate Development, and completion is expected by late 2019. [NY Yimby]
