Mourtil’s new project is coming to Astoria, Queens

We have talked over and over about how much Astoria has grown lately, but this growth is mainly attributed to new residential towers or mixed-use developments. Nevertheless, new reports have confirmed some extremely good news for the area: a new hotel is coming to the Queens neighborhood.

This new project will be extremely well located: adjacent to the 30th Avenue stop of the N and W lines, which will be very convenient for guests and tourists staying at this hotel. According to sources, the tower will have 48 rooms and nine floors and will be addressed at 30-17 31st Street. Nowadays, that site is empty, which means the hotel will be build from scratch. The design has been assigned to T.F. Cusanelli and Filletti Architects.

The hotel rooms will be distributed from story three to nine, whereas the first two floors will be destined to a community space. In said area, the developers will include an ambulatory facility and over 13,000 square feet of commercial space. As we mentioned previously in a separate article, Antonio Mourtil is the developer for this project. His company is called “Anton Developer of Forest Hills”. [NY Yimby]
