Progress Update – 44-80 11th Street
Almost two years ago, an industrial warehouse at 44-80 11th street, at the corner of 45th Avenue and 11th street in Long Island City was purchased for $1,375,000, by Ekstein Development and RD management, according to public records.
Now it seems the first half of their eight-story, 105-unit residential development, reported to be completed in fall of 2015 is half done. All floors seems to be up now, so we can assume we should be seeing the facade in the first half of 2015.
It was reported in the Queens Brownstoner and on LIC Court Square Blog that this GF55 Partners designed development is to include various amenities. Some amenities included will be a gym, onsite laundry rooms, as well as a bike room, onsite parking and a courtyard
Queens Beans was on site to get the most recent photos on the construction progress. The building is located well in proximity to Vernon Boulevard, its retail, restaurants and the east river with Manhattan Skyline views. However, the building itself does not look like it will have any direct views of the city for its residents, see the photos below.
